Optimisation Task: Writing Descriptions for All Additional Property Sections

Module 6: OwnerRez - Setting up the Channel Manager

In short

Selecting a feature makes your listing eligible for filters, but a short description makes it clear. Without one, guests fill the gap with assumptions, which leads to questions, misunderstandings and complaints. Descriptions for parking, services, accessibility, health and safety, and views should be factual and specific, usually one sentence, and never inflate what the property offers.

Questions people ask

Why describe listing features as well as selecting them?

A selected feature tells guests something exists, while a description tells them exactly what it means. That clarity reduces pre-booking questions and post-arrival complaints.

How should I describe accessibility in my listing?

Describe exactly what applies and where, and never imply areas are accessible if they are not. Accurate detail helps guests with access needs book with confidence.

Should listing details match across platforms?

Yes. The same facts should appear in your channel manager, booking platforms, house guide and messages, so guests never receive conflicting information.
