Listing Setup: Vrbo- Connecting iCal While waiting for VRBO connection.

Listing Setup: Vrbo - Setup

In short

While the full Vrbo API connection is pending, an iCal link between Vrbo and OwnerRez keeps both calendars showing the same booked dates. It works in two directions: OwnerRez imports Vrbo's calendar, and Vrbo imports OwnerRez's calendar. This stops double bookings in the meantime, but iCal only syncs availability and can take several hours to update, so it is a temporary bridge rather than a full integration.

Questions people ask

What does an iCal sync do for Vrbo?

An iCal sync shares booked dates between calendars so a reservation on one platform blocks those dates on the other, helping prevent double bookings.

How long does an iCal calendar sync take to update?

iCal updates are not instant. Depending on the platforms, changes can take several hours to appear on the other calendar.

Is iCal the same as an API connection?

No. iCal only shares availability, while an API connection also syncs rates, content, policies and booking details.
