Lesson: My PriceLabs Settings – The Base Every Host Should Start With

Module 8: Setting Up Dynamic Pricing (Pricelabs) and General Fee Policy

In short

PriceLabs base settings are the guardrails that make dynamic pricing behave well for every kind of guest, from last-minute travellers to people booking a year ahead. They cover minimum stays, gap nights, check-in and check-out days and safety-net discounts, and because PriceLabs applies its rules in a set priority order, getting this foundation right matters before you build any further strategy.

Questions people ask

What are orphan days in PriceLabs?

Orphan days are short gaps between bookings that are too small to fill under your normal minimum stay. PriceLabs can relax the minimum stay and adjust the price for those gaps.

Do PriceLabs minimum stay rules have a priority order?

Yes. PriceLabs applies its minimum stay rules in a defined hierarchy, so when two rules overlap, the higher-priority one wins.

Can guests cancel and rebook at a lower price?

It can happen if prices drop after booking. PriceLabs has an option to stop updating prices on nights that are unavailable, which helps prevent this.
