Action: OwnerRez - Travel Insurance - Turn On or Off

Module 6: OwnerRez - Setting up the Channel Manager

In short

OwnerRez offers built-in guest travel insurance through a partner provider, and it is switched on by default when you join. In Australia and New Zealand this product is not suitable for local stays, so hosts there should turn it off. Guests should still be encouraged to buy travel insurance directly from a licensed insurer in their own country.

Questions people ask

Can Australian hosts offer OwnerRez travel insurance to guests?

Not for Australian or New Zealand stays, where the OwnerRez travel insurance product is not suitable. Hosts elsewhere should confirm it is available and compliant in their country before using it.

Should I recommend travel insurance to my holiday rental guests?

Yes. Travel insurance can protect guests against last-minute cancellations, illness or weather disruption, and guests should buy it from a licensed insurer in their own country.
