Communication 11: OwnerRez - System Messages - The System Messages you want turned on and off.

System Messages

In short

OwnerRez system messages are built-in automations that send emails at key booking events, such as confirmations, receipts and failed payments, so communication is covered by default. They are optional, but guest communication is not: if you turn one off, another message must do its job. Often the best setup keeps the system message's timing and assigns your own email template so the wording suits your property.

Questions people ask

What are OwnerRez system messages?

They are preconfigured messages linked to booking events, such as a confirmed booking or a recorded payment, that OwnerRez sends automatically.

Can I turn off OwnerRez system messages?

Yes, but only deliberately. If you switch one off, make sure another email or trigger still covers that communication.

What is the difference between a system message and an email template?

The system message controls when something is sent, while the email template controls what it says, so you can pair a system message with your own template.
