Lesson: Referring Guests to Another Network Property

Module 14: Exclusive Client Property Sharing

In short

Referring a guest to another trusted host makes sense when you genuinely can't host them, for example when your dates are booked, their group is too big or they need something your property lacks. A good referral is honest and low-pressure: answer their question, offer the alternative as an option, then step back. Guest details should only be passed on with the guest's permission.

Questions people ask

Should I recommend another host when my holiday rental is booked?

If you know and trust another host whose property suits the guest, a referral helps the guest and keeps them booking direct rather than going back to a platform.

Can I share a guest's details with another host?

Only with the guest's permission, and only the minimum needed. The simplest option is to send the guest a link so they contact the host themselves.

Can I refer Airbnb guests to another property in Airbnb messages?

No. Airbnb's off-platform policy doesn't allow off-platform links in messages or encouraging guests to book off Airbnb.
