To ensure a comfortable stay for everyone, please follow the house rules for Matilda’s Urban Escape.
🏠 Noise & Respect for Neighbours
➖Quiet hours are from 10:00pm to 8:00am.
➖Please avoid excessive noise, loud music and disturbances to neighbours at all times.
➖No parties, schoolies, large events or unapproved gatherings are permitted.
🏠 Occupancy & Guests
➖Matilda’s Urban Escape is private two-bedroom accommodation.
➖The home comfortably sleeps 5 people.
➖Only registered guests are permitted to stay overnight.
➖Additional visitors must be approved before arrival.
🏠 Check-In, Check-Out & Lockbox Access
➖Lockbox access is provided for self-check-in and self-check-out.
➖Please return the key to the lockbox before departure.
➖Lost, damaged or unreturned keys may result in replacement or locksmith costs.
🏠 Cleanliness & Damage
➖Please report any cleaning concerns or property issues on arrival so they can be addressed promptly.
➖Guests are responsible for damage caused during their stay.
➖Any damage or maintenance issue must be reported as soon as possible.
➖Reasonable access may be required to fix urgent damage, maintenance or cleaning issues during the stay.
🏠 Hair Bleach, Fake Tan & Staining Products
➖Hair bleach, fake tan, fabric dye or similar staining products are not permitted.
➖These products can permanently damage linen, towels, bedding, furniture and bathroom surfaces.
➖Guests are responsible for repair, cleaning or replacement costs caused by staining products.
🏠 Smoking & Vaping
➖Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the home.
➖Smoking or vaping near doors, windows or entry points is not permitted.
➖Additional cleaning or deodorising costs may apply if smoke or vapour odours remain after checkout.
🏠 Pets
➖Pets are not permitted at Matilda’s Urban Escape.
➖The home is pet-free.
🏠 Prohibited Activities
➖No parties, schoolies, large events or disruptive gatherings.
➖Illegal substances are strictly prohibited.
➖Open flames, candles, fire pits and similar items are not permitted.
➖Guests must not move furniture outside or use indoor items outdoors.
🏠 Utilities & Energy Use
➖Please turn off lights, heating/cooling, appliances and Smart TVs when leaving the property.
➖A large heating and cooling unit is provided in the lounge.
➖Fast Wi-Fi measured at 734 Mbps is provided, though service may still be affected by provider outages or local network issues.
🏠 Kitchen & Cooking
➖Please use the kitchen, appliances and cookware respectfully.
➖Please avoid cooking strong-smelling foods that may leave lingering odours.
➖Excessive odours that require additional cleaning or deodorising may result in extra charges.
➖Please clean cookware, dishes, cutlery and glasses before checkout.
➖Please do not place instant coffee in the coffee machine.
➖Please do not disassemble the coffee machine.
🏠 Washer Dryer
➖A washer dryer is available for guest use.
➖Please clean the lint filter where required.
➖Do not overload the washer dryer.
➖Please do not use the washer dryer for items that may stain, damage or contaminate the machine.
🏠 Smart TVs & Electrical Items
➖A 65-inch Smart TV is provided in the lounge.
➖50-inch Smart TVs are provided in both bedrooms.
➖Please do not unplug or move TVs, cords, appliances or connected devices unless necessary.
➖Any unplugged electrical items must be plugged back in before departure.
🏠 Parking
➖Street parking is available.
➖Please do not block driveways, neighbouring properties, footpaths or access points.
➖Guests are responsible for parking legally and respectfully.
🏠 Checkout Guidelines
Please leave the home in a reasonable and respectful condition before departure.
➖Return the key to the lockbox.
➖Turn off lights, heating/cooling, appliances and Smart TVs.
➖Wash or stack used dishes neatly.
➖Return furniture and decor to their original place.
➖Place rubbish in the correct bins.
➖Remove any excessive rubbish from the property.
➖Check that personal belongings have been collected.
➖Ensure the home is left tidy and secure.
🏠 Ongoing Care of the Home
Matilda’s Urban Escape was built as a thoughtful private stay for family, friends and travellers. Please treat the home with care and respect so it can continue to be enjoyed by future guests.
