“This place was somehow even better in person than the photos. We had a truly magical stay. It was quite rainy when we visited, but the cottage/yard was cozy, clean, well cared for, and surrounded by nature. I wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed here while celebrating our elopement in Byron and Julian was responsive, nice, and super thoughtful to leave us a bottle of wine. You can tell a lot of thought and intention went into designing this oasis. The bathroom, upstairs, and yard are out of a magazine. Could not recommend enough - even the drive there was stunning!”

“This was the perfect family stay if you are visiting the region and looking for a hinterland experience. So many ‘wow’ moments as you discover the cottage and property for the first time. The accommodation was the highest quality with all the amenities provided (laundry, kitchen, bathroom/towels, fire pit, pool etc.) to make the stay as relaxing and special as possible. “Figtree Creek Retreat was everything we hoped for and more. Surrounded by nature, the house is gorgeous and was the perfect space for a weekend away with friends (we had 5 adults). Close enough to drive to cafes and restaurants but felt like we were much further out of town. The pool area was lovely to hang around in the sun. Beds were comfortable. The host Julian was awesome, always responding promptly and giving clear instructions for a smooth check in/out. Highly recommend!”

“Fig tree creek is my favourite holiday house I’ve ever used. The property was absolutely beautiful, so serene and peaceful and Julian was such a welcoming and helpful host. We went for a birthday celebration and there were so many beautiful touches. A chalk board with “happy birthday” to welcome us, special treats in the fridge. A beautiful new pool and sauna had us relaxed instantly. This peaceful home was only a short drive from the action so we didn’t miss out on the highlife either. Julia had some amazing restaurant recommendations and we ate so well. The house had everything we needed and more and every detail was thought out and tasteful. We loved every minute.”

“Figtree Creek Retreat is a blissful, out of town experience. We stayed for a few nights and enjoyed every minute. Our purpose was to go to the inaugural Mullum Roots 2025 music festival, and we loved being in the quiet of the countryside after full days and evenings of music. The spaces are well designed and beautiful. A lot of thought and care has gone into all of the details. And the beds are so comfortable. The retreat is on two levels and the upper living space is accessed via a spiral stair - likely difficult for those with limited mobility. Recommend very highly, and if the opportunity arises we'll be back!”

“We stayed in a piece of paradise. Beautifully decorated rustic house and mother nature at it's perfection around it. The creek behind the property was the highlight of our stay. We were lucky enough to have the oranges fresh from the trees and organic free range eggs from the chooks as well. The host were very friendly and helpful. Everything that you need is here. We were provided with a whole carton of milk, eggs, oranges and even beer. Very thoughtfully set bedroom as well, even with sleepy mist and slippers. Definitely coming back.”

“Me and my friends spend a lot of time at Airbnb’s - it’s kind of a hobby - so I think we have seen our fair share of places and can tell when something is nice . But this one was really outstanding! Julian and Amanda made it such an amazing space. It’s not just the look of the entire house, it’s all the small details that made our stay perfect! There’s more than enough towels, even heaps of small ones for the face, there’s bath salts, lavender bed spray, fresh eggs… the list could go on and on. Everything was thought of, which is something that’s not the case in every Airbnb. Julian was also super helpful with everything we needed. 10/10 recommend this place if you get the chance to stay there!”

Julian and Amanda are lovely people and were very responsive and easy to communicate with. Even though the main home is in close proximity to the Airbnb we still felt as though it was very private.
